Saw her husband on Daily show lastnight pushing his book about her. Yes its awful what happen to her but why is this such a big deal still ?

Her husband is a punk if he is trying to profit off his wife.

As to why we hear about it it's simple. She was a sitting US congresswoman. After her shooting there were a lot of changes in regards to the protection of members of congress while they are back in their district.
