Honestly, it would depend on the reasons and the situation. I know several states that have threatened to cancel the contract the made with the federal government due to infringement on states rights. It would be no different than a country removing itself from the EU or UAE. Truth be told, it is more than likely the only way to get our federal Government as a whole back in check, as they have violated numerous states rights on various occasions.
