As much as I love my children, there are many times where I regret having them only because of the way society is getting. I hate to see the world that they have to survive in. I teach my children respect for others, courtesy for others and etiquette. I don't teach them to be respectful to black folks (or other races) because they are different races but because they are different persons. Lucky for me, I have a unique scenario to teach them in by my having a black daughter, a Japanese son and two white children. All my children coexist as if they were all one race.

Too many parents breed racism. Even by not directly teaching them, they do so by the way they talk amongst each other. By the way they act or react to situations they hear or read. Children pick up on that and think it's normal.

yesterday i actually saw a Obama Store at a mall in decatur. I actually wasnt to surprised there was a store all about him. there was something i couldnt believe i saw in there.
