I ended up sitting through this today (in the nose bleed section). After 3 hours of waiting around for the guy to show up most of us were glad he finally arrived so we could get out of there soon.

I have been through a few talk with the Commandant so I know what those are like. I cant stand Obama though so I know it was far worse for the ones required to be there.
It was a typical Obama speech though. He says he is going to leave Iraq, which is fine, but hes leaving close to 50k troops there as trainers and advisors. He is going to increase pay, although he didnt say how much and he is going to increase the size of the Corps and Army. He didnt mention that he was going to draw down military spending 10% though. How is he going to increase the size of the Corps and Army and give them all a raise, yet cut the budget 10%? Something has to give here and if he is anything like Clinton, it will be with training budgets and new equipment budgets. So we will end up with a alrger, high paid military with decreased training and lesser quality equipment.
