im not gonna front... i think he's pretty racist![]()
Yeah, I agree with D.O and Sammich, this guys a racist. He didn't seem to have any other cookies that were caricatures of people. The way he tries to backpedal and avoid directly answering the questions the reporter's questions is just condescending.
I see this guy becoming the spokesperson for closet racists who try to legitimize their beliefs. We'll call him Ted the Baker and give him his 15 minutes of fame. Maybe somebody will give him a book deal like they did with Joe the Plumber.
See......this is that shit right here, right here, yes, right here!
If you don't see a problem with it then you are butt fucking this idot.

HE PROBABLY HAS ONE HANGING IN HIS GARAGE. TO DISMISS THIS AS 'JUST A COOKIE' AND THIS GUY HAS NO RACIST STRAND IN HIM IS LIKE SAYING THERE WASNT ANY FORM OF HATRED TOWARDS MINORITIES, EVER. THIS GUY OBVIOUSLY HAS SERIOUS PROBLEMS. JUST AS THERE ARE NUMEROUS 'UNDERCOVER HOMOSEXUALS', THERE ARE JUST AS MUCH 'UNDERCOVER RACISTS', IF NOT MORE.Originally Posted by GOT_PURP

lol howard stern was talking about this morning... funny shit.
LOL wow people getting bent outta shape over a cookie

It's funny people are getting pissed off? Let's see If you walked into a shop and you were jewish, and they had funny drunken hitler heads, would you be upset? Or lets see, you walked into a shop as a muslim and saw a high towelhead cookie, would that offend you? To me, this is a halfway attempt at putting up a whites only sign, if I was black and walked into that store and saw that shit i would walk right back out, hmmmmm mission accomplished. Like I said, you can be racist or stupid all you want, but business 101 would suggest that you seperate your finances and your opinions from your business if you want to succeed. He will ride this wave for twenty minutes then fall on his ass. I just think its stupid. period, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and view on things. That's why i love america
If all you get from this is that "its just a cookie" then you can....nothing, just keep you current train of thought.Originally Posted by SLOWR/T

I agree with you here... my family are hillbillies, and even though I see a lot of people ripping on hillbillies, the stereotypes don't bother me that bad. Nor do the stereotypes about the Irish, the Germans, American Indians, etc (and for all I know I probably also have some African blood somewhere in my ancestory) But at the same time I could see how some people do get bothered by them. Especially when you have a painful heritage like slavery.Originally Posted by SLOWR/T
The stereotypes about hillbillies, Irish, Germans, Jews, Asians, and other "White" groups are for the most part not that negative. The stereotypes for Hispanics and Blacks, on the other hand are more negative than positive. When you add in a heritage that includes injustices such as slavery, Jim Crow, and apartheid, things get really loaded. There are times when one can portray black stereotypes in humor and not come off as racist, but theres a very thin line.
It is the guy's 1st ammendment right to make the cookies any way he wants, he could make some far more offensive cookies than those if he really wanted to push the envelope. But what gets me is that he's all condescending and says the cookies aren't racist. If you're going to be a racist at least have the balls to be a racist openly.![]()
I am guessing he will be on the unemployment line pretty soon when his business fails though. He might get over running a business that pulls that kind of stuff in GA (like Wildman Myers in Kennesaw) but I doubt people will take to it in NYC![]()
but if it was a non white person making fun of a white person or persons, it would by all means, be perfectly acceptible...Originally Posted by apex2305

Um, no......the owner was, if I recall correctly, caucasian. Secondly, if he made a McCain cookie and called it "McCain Macadamia" there would be no issue. If he called this cookie "Obama Chocolate de Presidento" there would be no problem. He called it a fucking NEGRO cookie. If a black restaurant made a McCain Cracker, he would catch hell from everyone. His store would be burned down or spray painted with racial slurs.Originally Posted by §treet_§peed

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Airmax is the truth. Great points and you are totally right.
My boyfriend is better than you...
If a cookie hurts your feelings...just kill yourself.
I wouldn't even give three shits if someone made a cake with an icing likeness of my mom getting fucked by Ving Rhames..
Id probably eat it too-with a side of Breyers vanilla ice cream..
you do miss the point. if it would of been a cake or cookie with a white person and had in the name, whitey, craker, or something like that. it would of been ok even if the owner was black, white, asian, mexican or whatever.Originally Posted by AirMax95

o my fucking God. your ancestors might have been thru slavery and jim crow. BUT NONE OF THIS GENERATION HAS. SO QUIT USING THAT A FUCKING CRUTCH. HOLLY FUCK....

I'm Irish, so I guess I could use this crutch also. The English treated the Irish in an equal manner that slaves were treated in the US.Originally Posted by Total_Blender

You fail at history son. Slavery was only ended on paper with the emancipation proclamation. African Americans (and poor whites for that matter) were free in theory, but once many began to work as farm laborers for their former masters they were forced into predatory leasing agreements designed to keep them bound to the land. Sharecropping lasted into the 1950's/'60's. And many state and local governments enacted Jim Crow laws and restricted Blacks from accessing education, voting, etc. Segregation lasted untill the mid '60's. The Civil Rights act wasn't passed untill 1968.Originally Posted by RedEj8
So when you say "slavery ended 145 years ago" you're just showing your ignorance. The events that took place to bring us as close to equality as we are today are a lot more recent than you might think.
As for people making fun of Bush... I've heard 10x as many White people make fun of him as I have heard Black people make fun of him. Hell. other than the GOP fanbois on here I don't think I've ever met anyone who even takes him seriously.![]()
