Default Taking a 48 Hour Vacation.......

So I'm leaving you with an Idea proposed by a Texas Congressman.

As most of us all know the government wants to put together another stimulus package. A Texas Congressman has what I think is a potentially better idea. Instead of cutting only a few people checks, Suspend Federal Witholdings on paychecks for two months.

    Discuss. See ya'll thursday

this is a WONDERFUL idea but, it wont happen. If people were allowed to keep their whole paycheck for 2 months (GO FAIR TAX!) there would be a tax revolt as soon as the taxes came back into effect. People see the numbers on their pay stub but, they do not realize how much more money they could have if the government didnt take it all!

PLUS, if this does gain any momentum, Obama and the dems will say that the EVIL RICH do not deserve this 2 month tax break. It would end up being a situation where poor people that pay no income tax anyways get 2 months without having the taxes witheld instead of getting them back in April.

    once again, FAIR TAX!

Neal boortz put it best today when he made the point that the govt wouldnt have to spend 50 million just to send out letters to everyone letting them know that their check is on the way......as they did with the last "stimulus" package.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only one listening to Boortz the other day.

I disagree however that we would see a revolt.

    yep, Boortz is the man!

i dont mean a literal revolt but, once everyone noticed how big their checks are for two months strait without having any taxes paid/withheld there would be a major movement for a new tax system.
