That was an absolutely amazing speach (Fox 5 just turned it off). What a class act McCain is.
Good luck to President Obama, just like McCain said, we need to pull together as a nation and give this man our full support.
I thought McCain's speech was extremely classy. props to him for his good character. I thought this election was truly yhr lesser of 2 evils, but I have a lot of respect for John McCain.

Agreed, a lot of class shown tonight

I missed the speech, but McCain has always shown to be classy towards Obama. If you remember after Obama offically got the nomination McCain had an ad congratulating him.
I watched this speech and it's a very classy thing.
Time to squash the bullshit, roll up our sleeves and get to work.
There's alot of stuff to do.

That was obvious to me when Obamas first ad after the RNC was an attack on Palin. I'm not saying there was anything wrong with it as it was simple politics, but it did show a lack of class considering McCains ad.Originally Posted by §treet_§peed

mccain did have a great speech i honestly felt bad for him.
1) he would of been a better president then bush; mccain should of be given the chance in the past two elections.
2) i think GOP let him down w/ his VP pick and on his campaign

McCain was a sacrifical lamb for this year and by the time the RNC knew they would have a chance to win it was too late to get a good canidate. I believe this was a bone thrown to McCain for his years of service.Originally Posted by admin
I dont think the VP pick was the problem, it just didnt help. I think the man at the top of the ticket was the problem. Palin didnt have any more slips of the tongue than Biden did, the difference was, the media ignored Biden's and broke into shows with a news update when Palin did.
Now considering all the media bias, Mcain should have known he would need an absolute stud for a VP pick. He needed someoen the press would love or at least ignore. He didnt do that. he grabbed a high profile woman that posed a threat to Obama so she was burried.

werd....no way mccain ran a classier campaign.....obama showed true character and didnt stoop low to the bullshit and immaturity the mccain campaign did....obama could have slaughtered that dumb ass palin, he could have ethered her on her family and her 17 y-o daughter getting pregnant, he could have made a big deal about the "that one" remark but he didnt...mccains people incited hatred saying he is a terrorist, socialist, muslim, saying his grandmother wasnt that sick it was just a cold and that he was wasting tax-payer dollars flying to go see her....like that whole campaign stooped to a different level of immaturityOriginally Posted by BobbyFresh
when the crowd booed him that was horrible. McCain still has my respect even though he was not the right man for the job. Those " supporters" who booed are childish and stupid for doing so.
all it is, mccain supporter couldnt accept they lost. mccain was a good guy but its not the time anymore for republicians. and its true mccain campain ran more ad then obama. palins one stuip bitch and it showd in the polls. and it did reflect the out come. she was a stunt for mccain. and that dum ass joe the plummer, what a fuckin joke.
I think his speech was heartfelt and right on targe. He was kind, non-pardisent(<spelling), humble and generally nice to Obama and his new found win. The way he carries himself and the way he compliments his opponent even after he has taken a beating just goes to show you he would have been a good president. He's got a good head on his shoulders.

At the same time, I think Obama is a good person, I don't agree with a lot of his politics but I think he is a good man.

I was particularly impressed by that gesture as well. I think that in all the craziness of the election its easy to paint the "opposing" candidate as a "bad guy" in your mind, but as an Obama supporter, at the end of the day, I sit back and realize McCain is still both a man of admirable character and a damn hero as well.

And that would have been stupidly hypocritical considering his mom was the same agehe could have ethered her on her family and her 17 y-o daughter getting pregnant,
Umm maybe he didn't because he knew McCain didn't mean anything by it. But I forgot McCain is a racisthe could have made a big deal about the "that one" remark but he didnt![]()
Care to prove that it was the ACTUAL campaign saying all of these things?...mccains people incited hatred saying he is a terrorist,, muslim, saying his grandmother wasnt that sick it was just a cold and that he was wasting tax-payer dollars flying to go see her

The closest thing they said to him being a terrorist was when Palin said that he palled around with them(which is half true as he is associated with Bill Ayers)
I don't recall anyone on the campaign ever calling him a muslim. Supporters might have sure but they are not part of the campaign.
I also don't recall Mccain or Palin saying that his grandmother wasn't sick.
I also don't recall McCain or Palin saying he was wasting tax payer money to go see her considering he had all kinds of private donations coming in I don't see how they would be able to make the claim.
Again PROVE THAT ANY OF THOSE ACUSATIONS YOU JUST MADE. But I'm going to almost gurantee that you can't.
