With that mentality.. yes we will be divided. Give the man a chance, we'd do the same for McCain. I'm sorry to those who wanted to see McCain win, but I think we're all relieved to have closure on this election. I'm happy that my candidate won but I'm more concerned with those on the opposing side to just give Obama a chance to prove himself before passing judgement.

    +1
even though I disagree with him it seems he is the next president. I hope he does well. It would be foolish to root for him to fail

Both of them would have failed as neither has any honor or integrity. The only difference is that Obamas failings will will take longer to fix, if it can be fixed at all. McCain's would have been much more easily fixed.

My mentality comes from seeing the man in action. I obviously will give him a chance, but I have seen what a democratic majority in the house and senate can do over the last 2 years. Now imagine what they will do when they have more help from the president. They have stonewalled everything a republican has tried to do simply because he was a republican. They have ground our govt to a stop, then blamed it on the republicans. What else do you need to see? Obama has never worked across party lines in the past, what makes you think he will now?
