If I remember correctly I think we found some portions of chemical weapons, in particular the ones Saddam used to gas his own people, but they were certainly not capable of using them against the US in any organized sense, and they were far from being nuclear weapons. And just because we found a chemical weapon doesn't mean it falls under the classification of WMD. That'd be like us invading Germany again because they still sell Zyclon B as a pesticide, or had some left over mustard gas.

exactly... finding left over shells from previous wars is far from trying to sell the American public on danger Iraq could cause us.

I tend to think everyone should be forced to serve 2 years out of high school.

i agree but i dont' think military should be only option - community service, military, etc... i think gov should pay for atleast 2 years of college as well for time served; education is what our society needs

The military pays for 3 years of college already after you finish a 4 year contract or you are released from active duty honorably after 1 year. Its called the Montgomery GI Bill. Also if you are still in, you can receive federal tuition assistance to goto school. That will pay 100% of tuition and fees.

i know that but like many countries have other options then military... serve working home or abroad for your country. it is far better and appealing to people who think our wars are pointless like myself...

you can't justify war... there is not such thing. they flew planes in to our buildings why? not b/c they hate democracy which is what the man in the white house says but b/c we F U C K E D them time and time again. you can't expect to keep picking fights and taking sides w/o someone retaliating.

I would have no problems with the govt providing additional ways to qualify for federal tuition assistance, but IMO it has to have lesser benefits or competitive for the assistance. I would also have no problems with certain non-deployable jobs in the military for people in college. Send them through bootcamp and MOS school, but after that treat it like an internship. Work 3 days a week while going to school full time.

yes and no. Many of them hate us because of the religious teachings of those that manipulate the Koran to fit their ideology. They use hate to further their own egos and send those that aelrn from them to kill innocents. In all reality the only fight we picked was currently in Iraq. In 3 other occations we used them as pawns for our own policies though.
