Never said it wasn't legit. I am saying, what did the McCain really expect when you associate someone, a presidential candidate, with a "domestic terrorist"? Did they merely expect the fallout to be restricted to just votes? Given what has happened in this country regarding terrorism, it is unfortunate that people took these statements for face value without investigating the matter.

But, I digress, this issue of his association is a "second string" or "third string" issue, let's focus on what matters most.
