Default Moving from Okinawa to Georgia

Hello All, My name is Chris Kelley, I currently live in Okinawa, Japan. Lived here for well over 20 years, but recently accepted a job at Albany Marine Corp Logistics Base. Here are my cars, that sadly I will be giving up to take this job.

    I have:

    AE86 Levin w/ mecha motor
    AE86 Levin w/ turbo 4ag
    AE86 Trueno w/ blacktop 4ag
    R32 Skyline
    180sx
    Nissan ElGrand (family van)
    Daihatsu Naked (my wifes car)

I'm hoping to pick up an 86 in Georgia or in a nearby state. Looking forward to meeting some of you.

Here is a vid of me driving in the last Okinawa Super Drift

Spent three years at Kadena and 2-1/2 at Yokota, wish I had never left and I'm still trying to figure out how to make a go with a CoCo Ichiban franchise here stateside. Are planning on shipping any parts back? I don't wonder if you couldn't disassemble the motors and, to a certain extent the transmission, rear diffs, wrap them up, label them as lawn furniture and let the gov't ship it?

When are you making the jump? Between Atlanta and South Georgia Motorsports park you'll have plenty of things to do.

Yeah, had Coco's the other day with the family, we go once a month. I'm bringing a ton of parts back. Stripping all three of my 86s and bringing the good stuff back. Got 2 blacktop motors, 1 turbo 4ag, and a full tuned mecha 4ag. a few diffs, suspension, harnesses, bodykits, interior pieces, a bunch of shit. I told my wife to get rid of alot of the furniture so I could bring parts back, haha. From my Skyline, I'll probably take the R seats, turbine kit, and wheels. Two of the motors I will break down, the two black tops will ship as whole, as long as I can clean them up.

Yeah, I came here in 85. My father drove a Skyline Japan and my mother drove an old Mark II. I wish they would have held onto those cars. My first car was a Datsun Sunny that I blew up two weeks after getting it, them moved up to a Mazda Cosmo. I've had a bunch of cars and wish I still had them all, haha. But Okinawas ocean air likes to eat at cars. I'm ALWAYS doing bodywork and painting my 86s to keep rust from getting bad. I'm in the process of stripping my cars down now and junking or giving away the bodies.

dude bring me some skyline parts lol.
Only thing I'm bringing with me off of my Skyline is my spare set of Kakume headlights, couple of grills, turbine kit, and front seats. What are you looking for?

9k is a bit too expensive for me. Just looking for a LHD in decent condition for a decent price, to beat on. I'm bringing over a couple of Levin frontends. If you know a few people selling them, I would appreciate help lookin for one. even if it is just a rollin chassis. I have harnesses, motors, suspension, etc etc. I'm hoping to head back home to Oki in the next 2 to 5 years and would like to bring it back with me.

Welcome to IA (and the States)! Definitely sad to leave all of those cars behind; hopefully you'll begin recouping your losses.
