That's a good car. You're 16, be grateful to them and learn to drive properly. For now, don't worry about getting your own car. Have your parents sign you up for your high schools defensive driving course, and dont get any tickets. Keep your insurance costs cheap.

Yea ive taken my driving course and all that, I know its a good car, but I'd feel more safe if I drove my car and not theres, i'd rather wreck a 5k car, instead of a 30k car.

Thanks, well I would really like a rx-7 fd, or a 240sx, WRXs, STIs, EVOs, some of which are way out of my price range but I can dream. Can you or anyone recommend a good start up car, that I can start doing some beginner mods and work my way? My dad wants me to lease a car, like those new KIA optimas, or hyudais, but I could really care less for them.

The easiest would be to start with a honda, civics, integras, etc. They are cheap, easy to work on, loads of info on them on the net, parts are widely available, a million people here can help you....

Get what YOU want man, its going to be YOUR car.

If you want an FD, get one. Just be prepared, the parts are EXPENSIVE, and hard to come by. Not to mention the motors tend to go boom, and I know guys that have been working on Rotaries for 20+ years and still dont understand some of the weird shit that happens to them. Why not look into an FC? They're a bit more reliable with the standard 13b than the 13b-REW of the FDs

And props for standing up to yourself to e-thug up there. Brush off the haters.

I went to East Paulding myself. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys, you know what, I just totally forgot about an FC, I would actually really want one to, yea I heard FDs are just a total pain in the ass with maintenance, thanks for reminding me about an FC too, that one just went over my head for some reason!
