    Default Newb in Smyrna with an old BMW

    Hey everyone,

    My name is C.J. I just recently moved to Smyrna from Stockbridge for a new job. I've been an active member of bimmerforums for years but just found out about this site from some of the GA bimmer guys. I currently have an '01 Mustang GT as my DD that will be for sale soon, and my long term project is my '87 BMW L6. So far it has a 5 speed swap, Koni Reds, SPAX springs, and 17X8 Style 5s with polished lips. Hopefully sometime soon I'll have it converted over to Euro bumpers, new paint, and get the all white leather interior cleaned up.

    Thanks dude! Yeah I definitely love the car, puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. It needs A/C, some suspension bushings, and wheel spacers, but it cruises nicely on the freeway.

    Welcome to Smyings! I think I've seen your BMW around. There is another guy around here that is into those BMWs too, he has two of them.

    Thanks dude! Yeah if you've seen it around it's probably being driven very slowly and you can here the rear suspension knocking around from like a half mile away.

    Are there ever any meets around here? I usually wind up going to the weekly GA bf.c meets, but it'd be cool to go to other Euro/Japanese meets and events too. Well, once my car is a bit more hooked up.

    The closest meet is up in Kennesaw on Barrett parkway. We use to have Smyrna meets, but everyone just ended up going to Barrett afterwards.

    Cool, I'll try and make it out to some of the K-Saw meets sometime. Maybe after I get the a/c, spacers, and suspension worked out.
