Hey guys my name is Matt and I don't have a fast car but I am obsessed with cars and I am currently taking automotive classes at West Georgia Technical College in Carrollton, GA to become a mechanic. If you in Peachtree City or near here it would be awesome if we could arrange a meet sometime.

I might do that if I had any money. How much better is the 1.8L for the money of an engine swap? Also can you use the same tubing and sensor locations and stuff?

idk bout the factory wireing for the 1.9 to 1.8! but the 1.8 is a hell of alot stronger than the 1.9s!

as far as wiring you can get the wiring harness from a mazda protege with a 1.8 in it and it almost becomes plug and play! i seen 10+ of the at the junkyard last time i went!

Well the most likely thing thats gonna happen if anything to my car is I am going to sell it and get a new car or get a new car and keep that one for gas mileage or experimentation.

Depends on the season iguess. Lately theres only been I would guess around 20, but last Friday the damn lot was full.

I used to have a 92' Scort four door hatch in that color. 38 MPG and a 5 speed. A school bus could beat you off the line but it was a great commuter car. I ended up selling it cause a 220lb 6'2" man doesn't fit in it so well.
