New from not quite Chattanooga
I'm Lauren and I live just south of Chattanooga, TN. I have 22 Volkswagens, so I won't bother to list them all... My daily driver is a 71 fastback, I have a 78 Westy for camping, a 98 mexican beetle (not that watercooled crap) with a rollback top for drop top fun... and I just bought a 73 Thing to restore

I'm sure if you've seen me around you'd know it since there are only two fastbacks in town and the other one is quite toned down compared to mine!

#4 70 squareback (I bought this in '00 and still haven't driven it... but it was complete when i got it)
#5 81 rabbit diesel 4dr LS (I painted a rabbit on the hood cause I was bored and it came out quite nicely!)
#6 81 diesel rabbit 2 dr L (I thought I was gonna make it electric and put a cabriolet interior in it... yeah... that didn't get done)
#7 87 cabriolet... it just stopped one day at 200k miles... i just started driving a diff car...

my vert project back in the day when I had a shop... and my lil bro... this is about as far as the project got before i moved on to something else... it's solid, as rusty as it may look...

my best friends first car... he was gonna sell it... i told him he couldnt... so i bought it from him... it still looks like this... he never gave me all the parts lol... but too many memories in this car of illegal activities and good times to let it go!
sold both my mk1 jettas... the gold was an 82 with 57k original miles, it was mint!
The GLi was the only sunroof car I have owned to date... it's in MI somewhere now
I gave this one to my brother for his 16th bday... he'll be 21 this year and has yet to title it in his name... i think i should reclaim it since it's still at my house! 81 rabbit vert manual

Awesome stuff. And yes Aircooled > Watercooled for sure.
I like the first gen watercooled stuff though... and i did almost buy a corrado once, but the 74 autostick won that one
