Talking Noob from Duluth w/93 mx-5

Ive known about I.A. for about 6 years but diddnt have **** to talk about til now...
    down breef.

just jumped off the accord bandwaggon
Got my car stolen @ work about a month ago
(1996 honda accord v6 auto with a dancerecords.com sticker on the back... if ya see it piss on it or **** it up (look for black and read accord and v6 logo i painted them by hand
    )
BUT now i found a little gem I LOVE reguardless if its a chick car or not.
    1993 mazda miata mx-5 w/ 90,000M. !!YAY RWD!!
So basically i wanna get into drifting and i need someone to show me a few roaps and help me work on my car.
Ive seen a couple miata's around town and id like to find a good place to buy parts and practice.
ive got a garage i can use too with OIL bay and all i just need a person who knows mazdas to guide me in the rite direction.

1st off i appreciate the quick response man
i live in Duluth. RITE off 120 to be dead on.
the car needs a new clutch (NOT BAD THO) but im saving for a performance dont wanna waste $$ to turn around and upgrade.
im currently BONE STOCK. not counting i think the muffler has probably been replaced but in no way is performance.
if you know of a local track or course or W/E.
(clean driving record dont wanna scuff it untill its worth it)
+ if im down with you if your not a B.S.er ill even talk to my guy about letting ya use his nice PRIVATE OPEN garage to work on your car/cars/Whatever thats a PLUS most noobs cant offer.

    noooo problemmm
my mom lives in duluth... so im pretty familiar with the area. my cars clutch is brand new, but its just a generic brand clutch. next one will be a mazdaspeed. mines stock too for now.

as far as racing, i try to keep most of mine off the street. theres a HUGE local scca autocross following around here, ill be competing at a few events next season. theres also whats called a performance driving experience (PDX) at every regional road race at road atlanta, it cost 50 bucks i think and its 2 20 minute sessions of track time. they provide instructors and everything.

and ive got a shop with a lift and stuff, just not an amazing tool set. so if it dont work out with your guy, we could always use mine.

we should meet up sometime man.

Rspeed in Marietta is a great place for parts/advice also. They sponsor Jonathan Martin in a 1995 supercharged Miata that did fairly well in the NOPI Drift series. He lives in the Duluth area.
    clubroadster.net is a good place.
dgtrials.com holds some local events, and there are a few other orgs that have local drifting also.

This sunday is a gymkanah even in Nashville. I will be taking my Miata up there to give it a try... its a cross between autocross and drifting.
