Honestly, we don't really have anyone to impress. From what I've noticed it's the kids with the lesser cars that feel like they have to go around acting crazy to impress people. Also, I really don't see a teenager's maturity level being much higher 6 months later as apposed to now.

Aren't you the one posting about streetracing other cars. Hmmm. Who are you impressing? Your 16 year old friend that thinks you're cool for doing it?

When you're 16, you're right. Still young and stupid. Later, QD.

Umm, no one was with me or around when that happened. The road was very open for that, and the guy had a radar/laser detector. Honestly, the Elise is an awesome car, and I enjoyed running with one in as controlled an environment as possible on the street. No different than if I were to see an F430 on the street. It's a performance car, with great brakes, going fast in a straight line. Not the most dangerous thing of all time.

so a radar/laser detector makes it safe??? no, it may make it so there's less of a chance of you getting caught by the cops, but that doesn't mean it's safe.

& as far as a "controlled environment", no street race is done in a controlled environment. a controlled environment is at a track with rules & paramedics & professionals, all that, not 2 cars on a road that looks empty with a radar detector. i'm not trying to bash you or anything because lord knows i've played around on the streets a few times, but i didn't have the invincible attitude that you guys have & i didn't try to justify it as safe or "controlled" to a bunch of people who were just telling me to be careful.

by the way, quit trying to use big words...you might hurt yourself thinking that hard
