Actually the cage is there, because they offer the best protection. better than little frame sliders. They are not cheap either, or else everyone would probably have them. And for the sprockets, onebadgt was correct. this is no extreme stunt bike. It simply has 1 tooth less on front sprocket and two added teeth to the rear. It makes for better acceleration, adding low end. For me, it just made everyday riding easier to cruise around without getting into it. Also, if you don't already know, Yamaha's lack bottem end or torque from the factory, but have the most wicked top end. This mod pretty much evened the bike out and has the best of both worlds now, lowend to mid to topend. I would rather ride this gearing setup than factory anyday, and if you do some research, you will find the same to be true for MANY others.

This thing will lay down in the twisties just like every other bike, cage does not affect anything. Just there for protection, really good protection...
