Just... Why? Jeez I didnt want this car to get around more than Madonna. First Joe was going to take care of it and keep it forever, then you said you were. I wish I could afford two cars, Id get this back AGAIN and park it.

My main question is why? You didnt say anywhere in here why you are selling...

I'll take $5k now, the turbo seized up after eating a peice of a coupler. It's driveable, just slow.

    Thanks highspeed.
If it had a new 16g (like it will in a little bit) the price will be even higher. This is an extremely nice car, find another 1g this nice, with similar mods, and low mileage on the motor/tranny.

I've known the car from the previous owner when he had it twice so don't get me that "bs"

I may not be an "expert" but I damn well know my stuff when it comes to DSMs

and I'm not trying to be a jackass.

You know I orignally restored that car. It had a cream interior with a crappy faded paint job.
It was the nicest 1G around. I should have never sold it.
Now its getting traded around like a step child.
    Good luck with the sale.

I know him to.....big deal....you didn't know him to well because you would have known that it was a 90.......

Im not an expert either and don't particularly care for the car but I did a ton of upkeep that was not done to the car and I got it running right. I had the car for a while and changed alot of things on it.....i know the car probably better than anyone.....i have had the timing cover and oil pan off of it, i fixed the slave cylinder and master cylinder, i street tuned it, i know that it runs good and 5k is not a low price for the car by any means. I would even buy the car or trade for it because it is a good car....

Anyways GOOD LUCH Cgevan......or just keep it....its kinda a novelty car

Umm I am pretty sure Vinamn knows it better. He only built the motor and restored it to most of the shape it is in now.

Also you would be crazy to pay 5k for a 1st gen with a blown turbo... But what do I know. Maybe they go for more in ATL then anywhere else in the country.

1st off it was listed at 5k before the turbo blew.......secondly Vinman did a great job.....but there was barely any mods when he had the car....now it has everything.......most of which at some point I had my hands on.....yeah great come back....Vinman has done more work than I have....but it was stock for the most part....I (have many witnesses) spent more time on it after it was rebuilt...I promise....

Re-freakin-gardless......the car is sound and with a new turbo it would be fine....end of story.....I know....I swapped 2 turbos on and off of it playing with it until I got the PTE back on it.

Lets not clog up the thread.......Good Car and Good Price End of Story

You took the turbo off a few times and consider that alot of work time on the car... Ok yes its not stock anymore but he still I am sure has put more time into the car then most. Maybe you have put alot of time into it but it still had issues soo maybe you don't know as much as you think you do. I still stand by what I say I would never pay 5k for a 18 year old car. I would also take some time under that hood it looks hideous.

BTW what do you consider everything?

Honestly, this has all gotten out of control. Vinman did a great job, I got it from him and before I moved out I babied the hell out of the thing. When I moved out, I lost the time, money and passion. I put a ton of time and money into it, and just lost interest. Thats why I got rid of it, not once but twice.

With work it could be a nice DD, but you have to remember its an 18 year old car. **** is going to go wrong, there is no way around it. With around 215k and 18 years on the body and chassis of that car, you cant expect the most reliable DD. I owned it the longest, I daily drove it the most/longest, and would venture to say I had more time and money in this than anyone (with the exception of Vinman), owning it a total of about a year and a half minimum. If you have the time and passion for it, and dont mind working on a car EVERY day, this is the one for you.

Let Evan move the car. I agree, the price is a little bit high, but if he sells it for this price then the more power to him. If I recall, Caasi sold his blue 1g for this price, it wasnt nearly as clean and it was stock. Good luck Evan.

You know my vote. Keep the car.

Thanks man. I'm most likely not gonna sell it anymore, it has really grown on me. I posted it up after a really disappointing time at the race track. After a lot of friends talking me out of selling it and spending more time and money on it, I'm going to not try to sell it. LOCK THE THREAD. As with everything, it has a price, I will not turn down a decent offer, IE $5k. Caasi was selling his for $5500 if I remember correctly, I don't feel bad for turning down anything under $5k.

    LOCK IT. kthnx.

I found a 14b with a 7cm exhaust housing for $80. But how low can you go on that 16g? I had to buy a rear end for my camaro and it ate me alive =(
