map sensor?

My map sensor keeps kicking my check engine light on cause it keeps reading to much boost. I was wondering if y'all could help me out with this?

you need to get a different map sensor like a GM 3 bar or MSD 2.5 bar

Stock map sensor is only good for 11psi

you should never run more boost that what your map sensor can see or you WILL BLOW something up

give us more info on your setup: car, mods, engine management, etc.

sounds like you're running stock ecu with boost which=trouble.

get a socketed/chipped ecu and get it tuned.

have 98 automatic civic with d16y8 with custom mainstream kit. It was tuned using the VAFC by Charles so he knows ins and outs. I am running 8psi.
