vtec added, no timing adjustments yet.

unfortunately we couldn't complete the tune. the car needs a diaper or a new seal (i vote on seal). it had a small oil leak we were keeping an eye on that developed into a serious leak that prevented us from completing the tune.

this is in a chassis that would be unexpected to see this type of power and is unique around here (i'm sure there are others around the country, but i haven't seen any here).

can't wait to see what it does when we finish the tune (customer decided to upgrade to a mspi custom 2.5" exhuast).

    stay tuned!

suprised it hasnt beat my 227. Hey Scotty can you compare this dyno to my dyno and see if the midrange is better with the h23 crank

I think it will...haven't played with timing at all yet.

when I get back to the shop i'll compare the graphs.

ehh different days and honestly its only 6whp away. thats enough IMO to say they are pretty identical in power.

And they should be similar mods, similar headers, similar cams.

the only difference between his motor and yours is he has PRO1s and a .1 liter advantage.

PRO1s are pretty comparable top end power wise to your Stage IIs that you had, plus your header had much bigger primaries as well (2in compared to 1 5/8ths).

I would this motor ends up making about the same up top, i dont see it being some 240whp motor cause it has PRO1s in it. I suspect 230whp is about where it will want to run, and for an OEM build thats pretty rediculous.

TQ doesnt impress me, it should be around 170+ IMO, my 2.0l made 159TQ. I would think .3 liter more would be good for at least 5+ Ft Lbs everywhere.

Scotty overlay my old motor with this one, i want to see the TQ graph comparisons.

Overlay it with Jays 255whp K series too

    Thanks!

You have to remember that this motor was breathing though a cat using the stock header flanges (only about 2") and a 2.25 crush exhaust and muffler. We are doing a new exhaust and may even do a open header run.

    Oh shit, r u serious!

    LOL

Ok then yeah this motor can crack 235, that was with a CAT?! thats ALOT of power. TQ probably suffered a little bit cause of the small exhaust. but if you look at the graph it damn near makes peak TQ from the start of the run an holds it all the way out.

Do an open header pull vs the MSPi exhaust.

Remember on my motor there was like a 1whp difference between exhaust an open header

    mikes 2.0 lsvtec vs. h23vtec

couldn't find our 237whp run on mike's, but you get the picture

h23vtec=a lot more hp/tq in mid to upper range, but mike's crazy crx light weight would probably kill it.

    jason's h22 vs. h23vtec

h23vtec=a little more midrange, but falls short up top. however, it's not fully tuned w/ nearly as nice an exhaust.

    stay tuned!!!
