Story : Traded my tahoe (blown trans) for this on 9-2-09. Traded with the knowing it ran "rough". It had sat two years. Friend of a friend had it. Put new plugs/wires/distributor cap/fuel filter on it. Drove her until 9-11-09 when it dropped an intake valve on cylinder #3. Pulled the head off on 9-12-09 to make sure and see what damage there was (see pics).
What I am looking for / thinking:
1. Someone buys this as is and you can do what you want. Cash option. Make an offer.
2. Someone trades me some stuff for her. I am in need of a reliable car. lemme know what you have. Completly open to cash on my end. Or can be other objects... just LEMME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE.
For people interested in buying it or trading it - more information:
The good:
- EVERY PART TAKEN OFF IS SEPERATED, BAGGED, AND LABELED. all nuts/bolts/washers/ etc
- Interior is all there and in decent condition
- new master cylinder, rebuilt wheel cylinders, and front hoses (done on 8-31-09 by a certified mechanic)
- LS meshies
- head was tapped for vtec selenoid
- seats from civic... eg i think?
- Head should be able to be machined
The bad:
- rear hatch inside trim is white - cannot tell from outside
- Small dent on passenger and driver side quarter panels
- no ac (was not swapped)
- needs two rear tires asap
- does not run (obviously) - I assume the valve stem and rest of my spark plug made it's way to the bottom end via hole in the piston.
- no spare - does have jack
- Will need distributor - previous owner kept CRX distributor on it. Stupid - I know. Found out when taking apart motor
