I'm thinking about losing one of my projects to make money for my other ones. It is currently my daily driver and does just great at that.
1993 Honda Del Sol Si
185k miles on chassis
Built D16Z6, EX trans
VIN - JHMEH6165Pxxxxxxx
ENGINE - 2605559
TRANS - its the same trans that came with above engine from the factory.
D16z6 w/ vitara pistons, Tuner Toys rods, ACL bearings, Hastings rings, complete gasket set, VX flywheel, 6-puck stg 2 clutch, remanufactured head, ARP head studs, new water pump, OEM honda oil pump, Golden Eagle cam gear, Blox 68mm TB. I did all the work myself and have all receipts for parts purchased. The rings are just broken in and the engine is running PERFECT with NO CEL's! Has a chipped P28 with a custom map to run this vitara setup N/A during the break in period (or beyond) until it is turbocharged. The compression is around 7.5:1 and should hold pretty much anything you can throw at it, its stout. The engine literally has 500 miles on it, I just completed the break in for it.
Transmission is a stock EX D16Z6 trans, no grinds, shifts great. Just installed brand new poly bushing on the linkages.
Car itself is in great shape; no wrecks or major damage to the body, NO rust whatsoever. Needs paint badly. It had some shopping cart dings in the doors and 1/4's but I repaired 90% of all that and just primed the area and sprayed some black over it to hide the areas before paint. Windshield needs replaced, it has a nice baseball sized crack in it.
Interior is in nice shape, has JDM del sol steering wheel and seats. All windows work, all electrics work. Skunk2 shift knob, Pioneer had unit, Alpine speakers all around the cabin, 12" Kicker CVR in trunk with Kicker amp. VERY good sounding system (especially for a del sol).
Borbet Type T 15x7 wheels, 205/50/15 tires. The wheels are in nice shape, will probably need refinishing as well sometime to look 100% again. The tires have about 20% life left. No name brand coilovers on Koni adjustable shocks. Rides pretty comfortable considering, but I do not have it adjusted that low. No uneven tire wear.
Car has complete RS-R exhaust on it and a week doesn't pass that I'm asked if I want to part with it, so don't even ask if I will sell it seperately.
I will be including the oil line kit I have for a T3/T4 (or other) turbo setup. All you need is the main turbo stuff and you will have a VERY fast car. Do some research on the Vitara builds if you don't know. The hard work and expensive shit is done with this car. Make it fast with the turbo you prefer and a paint job you like.
Bads:
No A/C, no P/S. The lines are there and taped off to put a compressor back in it and I will be including a WORKING compressor when the car goes. Same for the P/S. I just don't have time to mess with this myself.
Needs paint and windshield. Also missing a passenger side corner lamp. It literally flew off riding down the highway one night.
The reason I'm considering selling it is because I should have put my RX7 first. Its my main priority and this move needs to reflect that.
I will take a trade for a DD honda, but I will most definitely require cash on top of any trade offer. No matter what, I need cash out of this deal.
or
$4900 cash (obo) as she sits. You pick her up in Cecil, GA and drive her anywhere in the world. If my asking price seems high, this is my reasoning: I figure the car is worth at least $3000 with any running engine in it and I easily have $2k in receipts for parts in this thing. If you have an offer just let me know.
Some of those pics were before the body work. Also, the lip was stolen in a parking lot, so its no longer on the car. I will get better pics in the next few days. If anyone would like to see something specific, then LMK.
Also if I am missing something, LMK. VIN will be posted tomorrow. BTW, clean GA title in hand!
This is really hard and seems a little fucked up after all the work I've done, but I need to get my priorities in order.
Thanks guys
