    Default Oil pan question

    I have a 1998 honda civic ex with a d16y8.
I need to buy a new oil pan.
I was just wondering if the d16y8 uses the same oil pan as the same year dx/lx model... meaning different motor.
I know the y8 has an aluminum oil pan and the other does not. that's not my concern.
Will the oil pan bolt up and fit correctly?

Thank in advance for any help.

My understanding is that it will bolt up, but the oil pickups are in a different location. Im also not sure about the gasket because most of the steel pans use the flat type gasket, whereas the y8 aluminum pan uses the thin gasket. I would assume youd use the gasket to match the pan.
