Default How to wire auto meter water temp gauge?

I have an eltrical auto meter water temperature gauge for 98civic but I don't know how to get it wired up so it will work. Anyone know how to wire it so it can turn on and be useful?

    1. Read instructions that came with gauge, or are on autometer's website
    2. install sending unit in or near radiator or upper radiator hose
    3. wire power to gauge
    4. wire ground to gauge
    5. wire sending unit to gauge
    6. mount gauge inside car
    7. verify it works
    8. perform brain science and rocket surgery
You're right - I have no idea what I'm talking about...

I wish it were that easy. For one I bought it used so no instructions or anything came along. And maybe I should have been more clear in my question. I have it mounted but it's not functioning because it's not wired. I just want to know to where can I wire the sending unit and where should I connect it for the power? Grounding it is pretty straight forward.

it is that easy. refer to step #1.

power will come from a switched source in the fuse box - usually an empty fuse slot. ground will come from grounding the gauge to the chassis. lighting of the gauge will come from tapping into a dash light - usually the cigarette lighter illumination light, or another shource that turns on with the vehicle lights, but does not overload the fuse...

this is really not that hard of an endeavour...
