Default Title issues (Go for Alabama)

Well it has been 6 months and I have yet to get Civic under my name. The only issue is that the date as a few extra lines in the numbers due to a crappy pen and the Alabama tag office says that that could be a sign of fraud. It is a date of sale and not a signature. I had to get a document signed and notarized and then mailed off to the previous owner. No big deal. I did just that and he messed up the form and the tag office sent me off again. They gave me another and I mailed it to him. He told me that he wouldnt mind doing it again and he stated on Sept 7th that he would have it mailed back soon. I have yet to hear from him. I have PM's him here, called his house, and even emailed him. I haven't done it frequently, maybe once or twice a week and nothing.

What would you do in this position? Or could someone help me out as far as helping me out with notarization or ideas about how to contact him? Username is Mr.egd15. PM me if you can help.
(919): so I was just driving high and I stopped to let a pinecone cross the road because I thought it was a hedgehog.

If you have questions on finding the person, that is no problem, pm me the info you have.

As fer as acquring the title. Look into abandoned vehicle and bonded titles...

Abandoned vehicle - owner notified by Cert mail that car is left on property (can possibly be reclaimed without payment)
Bonded title - says you are the legal owner but have no legal documentation....

I would Just get the previous owner to get a copy of the title form the tag office and mail it to your adderess...
