    Default Best B16a2 Exhaust?

I am looking to get a new cat back for my Civic. I have a stock B16a2 in a 97 DX Hatchback. I want as much gain as I can get, and I know there is not a lot to be had in this area of performance. I am thinking about the Apexi WS2 with has 60mm (2.3in) piping. What I like the most about that particular exhaust is that it does not have teh "Rice can" look to it. However is there a huge difference between a 2.25in and 2.5in exhaust on the 1.6? I am open to suggestions.

    with most oem exhaust systems
    1: oem exhaust on most cars ( oem b16a2 exhaust ) header (either 4-2-1 or 4-1), - 2.25 inch pipe - cat converter - resonator - down size to between 1 3/4 or 2inch pipe - muffler - 1 3/4 or 2inch exhaust tip.

with this system, how to gain power
1: dyno proven power gain header, or oem will be fine, No ebay, most are made shitty and you'll only lose power.
2: delete cat converter with either test pipe or straight pipe ( test pipe helps quite the exhaust ( rasping noise ) )
3: delete the down size pipe, muffler and tip with the equal size with what you started with
purpose of the down size pipe and muffler is to lower the exhaust noise

    ANOTHER thing to look at:
    i've seen on dyno
b16a2 will lose power with any pipe over 2.25inch and anything under that size.
i suggest not changing the size of the pipe untill your actually doing a build. INTAKE, HEADER, EXHAUST is NOT a Build

    ANOTHER thing to look at:
less exhaust back pressure = gain hp ( top end ) and lose torque ( lower end )
too much back pressure = lose hp ( top end ) and gain torque ( lower end )

    this is just my 2cent

Its not going to get an actual build till a rebuild is needed. When it does I want to go with CTR pistons, forged connecting rods, cams, and maybe itb's with a tune. I don't want a ton of power. I am wanting throttle response and a bit more torque in the long run. Its a dohc 1.6 ltr so I am not looking for large gains.
