Default Car will not start battery and starter good.

Hey guys I have a 92 civic dx, with the stock d15 on it no mods. Two days ago I tried to start it and nothing, no click no sound at all. I have a new battery in there and I already took off the starter and took it to advance auto parts and they tested it but it was good. The weird thing is that it will start when i push start it. What could the problem be? Thanks in advance.

is it a 5 speed? if it is then look on the pedal there is a clutch switch and there is a rubber plug that tends to fail out and causing the switch not to engage so you can put a paper clip in the connector for the switch to jump it but be warned it will crank if in gear and take off so make sure its out of gear and hold the clutch in . Or the switch is bad , if this is a automatic might be safety switch try cranking it in neutral .

if all checks well I would take a test light and see when you turn the key to crank it powers the test light when you hook the test light to the small start wire

also make sure you have power going to the big starter wire also

this doesn't make sense my friend , unless your saying battery was new and it drained it down due to alternator

you can get a small bolt with a nut and put that in the hole just make sure the bolt isnt to long and use the head of the bolt to the switch part
