    Default miss fire?

Okay so I went from using my stock gsr header to a 4 to 1 header.

Okay so I started my car this morning like normal drove it to my parents to put my header on. After putting the header on I started the car and it kinda sounded like a subaroo I kinda just said must be because the header well no CEL cars never over heated or anything and no loss of power so now I'm stuck scratching my head.

Could it because of my header?

Checked all plugs and my wires and its a brand new dizzy and don't think its the injectors

Well if the o 2 sensor is mounted in the manifold maybe it changed the amount of exhaust flow its seeing compared to the stock setup therefore changing the fuel mixture readings and running condition as a result. Just a thought.

o2 sensors only read the A/F ratio which wont change by adding a header. But if the wiring is damaged it could think its super lean and dump way too much fuel causing a misfire.

If o2 or wiring is fubar it should theoretically throw a cel. Regarding my point, I know guys on my car when the first cat is removed will weld a deeper bung so the o2 sees less airflow and prevents an efficiency cel. That said if the head of the o2 is completely blocked from direct airflow I've got to imagine it will read lean and overcompensate causing a bumpy rich idle.

It COULD throw a CEL but if its obd1 it may and may not. and you have a point about it being blocked. Thats possible.

It's obd1 and tuned ecu for a type r it does have a skunk2 intake mani on it but like I said it started doing it after I put the header on and no CEL and no loss of power

id probably try a new o2 sensor. If that dont fix it take it back and say it was defective...
