    Default cf hood

my friend has a carbon fiber hood on his del sol. but the hood sticks up on the driver side front. theres no rubber adjustment thingys either. a guy said he could use a heat gun and heat the back of the hood and sit weights on it to form right. is this correct or just stupid?
