    Default 07 Civic si 2nd and 3rd gear

    I just bought an 07 civic si and and when I red line and shift into 2nd gear or from 2nd to 3rd there is a lot of resistance. Is there a fix for this? other then telling me learn to shift. every other gear is fine. and its not all the time that it doesnt completely go in i have to push hard as crap tho

    seems some other SI owners have the same problem. if you look over on 8thcivic.com you may can get more specific help. there was a thread on there about adjusting the clutch to release higher up that helped several people.

    There was a recall on some of the earlier 6th gen civic's on the 3rd gear specifically. Contact the dealership and see if your car is within the recall # of cars. It was mainly about 3rd popping out but it couldn't hurt to ask lol.

    Happens to me all the time. I just deal with it. Ive asked three different dealers about the issue and they all act like the only one with the problem. Ive heard running a different transmission fluid could help.
