    Default b16a2 in a 94 integra

im about to buy a 94 4 door integra thats got a b16a2....right off the bat i know the swap is obd2 and the wiring is obd1..can anyone enlighten me on whats missing that the swap needs thats not in with the obd 1 harness???? like whats the difference between obd1 and obd2 bc for some reason it wants to jerk spiratically and sometimes itll bog down and die..im not sure if thats a tps/iacv problem...i know from looking at the bay that there are at least 2 free plugs that arent being used..the dizzy is new..like ill go to crank it itll run for a few minutes and then die and become a pain in the dick to restart. driving down the road paying att to the rpm, ill notice itll "twitch" on me and thats when it dies...ANY HELP ON THIS OBD BOG ISSUE WOULD BE APPRECIATED

It's common to use an OBD2 motor in an OBD1 car ie. B20 in an EH Civic.

I don't know why someone would put a B16 in a DC Integra unless they used that block and bored it out.

I would be more concerned on the fact someone put a B16 in a dc. lol.. OBD2 motors and OBD1 motors all work the same, its all a matter of ecu's and sensors.

Why would they put the B16 in a DC? Because they wanted the motor for their ef/eg/ek/crx swap... They may have gotten a good deal on the car, bought it and swapped the motors, and then turned around and sold it. Some people prefer a civic over an Integra because of how light they are, or perhaps they just like the way they look better.

I personally miss my teg, but it's more cost effective for me to swap the GSR motor into the DX I got cheap and sell all of the parts left over then to buy another teg

Post full of non-sense. If they wanted the motor for a Civic, they should have put it in a Civic; not an Integra.

My bad on the not realizing this part of the conversation was over pages ago since I didn't notice the multiple pages...

BS on the nonsense. Re-read (slowly this time) and maybe you'll understand. If someone owned a civic, and wanted a B18xx in their car... you following me? Then found a good deal on an Integra... They may have bought the Integra for the motor, then swapped the Integra motor into the civic. Then, they could turn around and put the civic motor into the Integra and sell it to someone as a running vehicle in order to sell it faster, and for more money than they would get out of it if it was only a rolling shell.

Done speaking on this subject now, since it was over with days ago. Just had to clarify since "Bacon" was calling "non-sense".

Forget the two free standing plugs in the bay for the time being.

Of the blinks, how many are slow blinks and how many are fast blinks?

Shit in japan the low end integra's came with d series engines. A b16 would feel great by comparison. Slow still but better than a d15.

yea just seven quick blinks its tps i knew it man!!!!! lol, but still that wouldnt necessarily cause it to die and bog would it???? i mean i went ahead and grinded the rivets off that tps bc its riveted to the intake manifold (the cel for tps was on beforehand) and i rebolted it to be able to adjust it and i noticed some buildup kinda like battery terminals do they build up that blue stuff but it was yellow so i think the tps is bad but would it cause it to bog down and die randomly??????

The blox tps sensor's from what I've seen are always a bit off. They don't have the exact figures an oem one would from the few I've put on. Its always kinda off. Look it up on the internet how to do it with pics. It would be easier than me explaining it.

Voltmeters are incredibly inexpensive. you won't be able to get it "right" by guessing.

ok cool thanks for your help starrfire, im incredibly broke right now so a 50 dollar tps is out of the question. its either 30 online and 16 for next day shipping, or 47 at autozone or and in town parts store that will STILL have to special order it
