Thermostat is my guess. And also the cheapest so doesn't hurt to knock that one out.

You might need a new distributor... your's might be throwing off the timing and therefore causing to overheat...

haha well thanks for the input guys there is no thermostat at the moment id thought of that, so i guess im down to temp sensor, does get a slight skip after it warms up occaisionally also.
