    Default anybody know what this is? help?

    my friend called me up and said she heard some scratching then she tried to back up and it wouldnt. this is what she found.

    that would be a busted cv jont on one of the axles.

    look at whatever axle is probably hanging from below the car. if none hanging, then wiggle each one by the tire, and see which one is loose. it will also have a busted/nonexistant rubber boot leaking grease. it needs replaced.

    yes, that is the grease in the cv joint/boot.

    You are correct, we pushed the car from where it was and the axle fell. Lol
