    Default EGR CEL

I have a very annoying check engine light that keeps coming on for "egr flow insufficient"
I have completely taken the manifold off cleaned the ports with 3 cans of carb cleaner and a wire brush. I replaced the valve with a known working valve. Reset the light with code reader and pulling ecu fuse and after about 30 miles of driving it always comes back on.

    The car is a 97 2.2 CL.

Any help would be great and yes its past the mileage for the honda/acura emissions recall/warranty work.

in every honda i have ever owned, that code means your cat is clogged / needs to be replaced. now granted i've never owned a honda that actually HAD an egr valve, yet it throws a code / fails emissions for EGR.

    I'd check your cat.
