Default help!!! wiring fogs on a 96 civic

I have some fogs lights.. I wired one cable to the positive on my battery.. I grounded a cable where my ground for my motor goes, and the inside ground into a metel bolt and I hook up the yellow plug(well my friend did).. we did all this when my bumper was off my car it was layin in the floor, and he fogs would turn on. But as soon as we would try to put my bumper back on the car, you could hear like a small electrical noise and then my fuse would blow.we blew like 8 fuses Trying.
Anyone know how to wire them? Or anyone who has the square fogs on a ej can you guys tell me how you wired them on your civic?
    Thanks in advanced

sounds like you have a short in the power wire to one of the lights. Could also be a grounding issue too. Check all your wiring for any cuts, skinned areas, etc. If nothing else, pull everything back off and check all your wiring. This may help:

They're probably "OEm fitment". But if they're from ebay, i'm pretty sure the problem is within the plug that connect the wiring and fog lights. Make sure the negative's are going to each other and the positives are gong to each other. Alot of the time they mix them up and you'll be putting opposites together. Which will continue to blow your fuse.
