those parts shouldn't require a tune, but will benfit from it. not to sound like an ass, but make sure those damn cam gears are tightened up and zero'd out first, and also check and double check the timing... spend the time to absolutely make sure it hasnt jumped teeth or was incorrectly installed, it will save you another head removal
