    Default ***Tranny problem***

I have a D series automatic tranny with a problem.

I can start the car, put it in gear and the car will drive, then the tranny just stops pulling.
BUT, if you put it in park, turn the car off, start it again and put it in drive, it starts pulling again.....then stops pulling again.
It will do this over and over again.

ANY ideas of what this might be would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, IA!

sounds like a pump/fluid issue. not enough fluid in the torque converter.

it pulls until the fluid gets expelled from the torque converter. turn it off, and the converter settles and refills via gravity. start and drive it, and it repeats...
