its a obd2 car with a obd1 motor using a obd2 ecu but not the right one...no jumper...it did have ecu jumper to obd1 ecu but that doesnt work for emission obviously...im bout to buy a 96 h22a vtec ecu the only yr thats obd2a .... there is a 97+ prelude h22 ecu in there now but when my homie goes to get emission done it say dlc not reading or summin...so im thinkin its the ecu..

Have you checked the connection of the plug? Could be something that simple.

you need the 96 si vtec ( h22 ) ecu . i had the same issue with my 96 accord that had a h22 swap. for reason obd1 motors dont like to pass emissions on obd2 ecu's. unless you completely convert the motor to obd2.

as long as you dont have any check engine codes and the ecu passes its readiness codes it should pass. The obd1 motor could be preventing it from passing the readiness.
