power steering removal
sorry for length, but it ensures details about my 4th gen 1992 prelude SI
ive done my research before bringing it to IA.
i had to change my alternator and removed the PS pump which sits RIGHT above the alternator. Now i still have the belt and all the stuff around but do not feel like putting power steering pump and belt back on because its a headache and i kinda want to feel the extra 1 hp lol..
anyways according to my research i can loop the wires coming out of the vehicle speed sensor(where PS hoses end up) back into its self which ensures the power steering fluid stay there and keep the steering rack "lubricated"...how ever, anyone that owns a dohc prelude would kno the amount of space we have to work with and i cannot simply locate where the PS hoses disappear off to...i looped the main hose that comes from the reservoir into the pump back into the reservoir. the other hose that goes from the pump and runs behind the motor is still hanging around. i plan on plugging that up
now my question is:
will plugging up that hose cause any problems?
would removing power steering on a 4th gen prelude cause any sort of problems with the steering besides NO power?
lmk plz and thanks for looking!

there should be 4 hard line hoses on the rack, cut them to length loop and the two inner ones to itself and the two outer ones to them self.
you can go technical and make lines commin off the rack into a small reservoir like a clutch reservoir.
and loopin the vss sensor/gear is fine.
