    Default 93 Ex Cluster ???

ok so i got a 93 civic ex. chassy has around 250K miles. the vtec on the chip im running is suppose to engage at 5400 RPM. but it doesnt my tach shoes that it engages at 6K rpm. so for all i know i could be shifting at 7400K instead of 8K. how can i fix this problem?

will an aftermarket TACH solve this problem if i wire it to the plugs that go to the cluster?

    any help is highly appreciated
    thanks

u need to fine your true rpm. find out if your gauge is off or your chip is off. straight from there.

aftermarket tack will solve the problem. if you need the wiring colors, provided below in a chart for swapping clusters. you can always open your ecu if it has been chipped and they USUALLY write the rpm on the chip
