    Exclamation B16A2 stuttering problems...help!

So i put a b16a2 in my 2000 civic, its been having some stutter/hesitation issues since then, i change out the sparks, wires, distributor and rotor, still having issues. no CEL on, just for the Cat converter being messed up. so it started when just driving cold and was thinking well maybe it like to drive only at norm temp, but now it'll will stutter/hesitate at any given moment, regular driving, hard driving, but mainly in low rpms then it catches on at around 4k then takes off. This is seriously pissing me off cause there are so many reason for misfire, if that's what it is ....so i'll take any advise on this. rpms don't rev high when it happens, more of a bogging down affect like it's not getting any air, i can smell fuel just a little on a few occasions. thanks!

check your throttle cable, clean you idle air control valve, aso make sure all vacuum lines are hiioked uoand tha the timing is right by hooking a timing light up to it and adjusting according to the manual.

i also having the problem too but my cel is throwing a fuel system code. At first it was throwing a tdc codes but i changed the distributor and re do my timing and it stop bogging at low rpm. it's bogging again because of fuel system supply. i would check my vacuum too

cool cool, yeah i'll check that stuff out, i was thinking that it was the timing, but i'll make sure the iacv it cleaned out too, but it idles fine when sitting and at cold starts, but i'll check it out and let u know what i find, could be the vacuum did the swap in two days, wouldn't be surprised is a line or two went unnoticed

If you cant figure it out we can put it on the dyno for you with the wideband and record the air fuel ratio for you. This would tell you if it was a fuel issue for sure. Give us a call if you would like to make an appointment to get it done.
