    Default #3 cyl. not firing!

alright i swap my head out on my 97ls integra. cuz i jumped timing about 3 months ago and thought i had a bent vavle and i did, Swap went fine new. head gasket and the head i put on was running on my friends car . has 1500 miles on the rebuild. we adjusted the vavles while we were at it. get everything on start it up and #3 cyl not firing. not the wire not the spark plug. sounds like shit and skips like hell.
i know i need to do a compression test and check my timing but has anyone ever had this problem?
would timing make only one cyl. not fire?

    lmk reps for good advice

Check your distributor cap, look at the terminal for the number 3 cyl.

Pull the spark plug wire while the car is running, arch it against the vc to see the spark. You should be able to hear it without arching it. Also listen to the idle when you pull the wire and plug it back in. If the idle stays the same when taking it off and putting it on, you might have a dead cylinder. (If you have spark to the wire)
I am in the same position with my CRX, a compression test will verify it all. Do the test and see what the result are...

if your getting fire, it's either compression ( bent valve ect. ) or fuel injector issues....

double check your valve clearance. If you adjusted it too tight they could be open.

lol if you have fire,fuel... you just need to come to terms w/ yourself and figure out why the comp is down.

i would make sure the valves in that cyl are properly adjusted before i went through the trouble.
