    Post d series won't hit 7200 rpm

I didn't have any spark so i switch out the whole internal distributor from a 1.5 dx obd1 to my obd1 1.6 si distributor. if the car is just in neutral i could rev to 7200 rpm but if i drive it and step on it, it won't go more than 5200 rpm. it seem like it want to go over it but then it get kick back under 5200 rpm like a rev limiter. i need major help cause that is where all the power is.

Please read post dates before replying! Theres no sense in bumping a useless thread that died over 2 years ago.

this thread been dead already but after a couple weeks the distributor crack on me so i guess one of the wires had a cut in it or else something wasn't acting right in the distributor and cause high voltage to melt my rotor inside of it and crack the cover of the dizzy and replaced my dizzy and redo my timing just incase it had jump a tooth and now the car is running fine...only problem is still have a cell for vtec n speed sensor but because i'm using a cable tranny and the speedometer cable is worn out where it connect to the cluster.
