The only thing that may be different is the type of oil you use. If you were using a 5-30 or 10-30 oil before you would probably like to use a 15-50 or 20-50 now. In the winter you can still use 10-30.
Go with synthetic. I would stay same weight. How much power you pushing and what motor?

i would say unless its smoking dont do anything diff, and also if you havent been running synthetic dont start, you only wanna do this on a motor that has always ran it
