    well mine just got set to -2500, and my post count got set back to 0!, so i am pretty pissed....i would like to know as well...

    nohting determines it, you just add as many as you want at a time.

    It goes by how many positive rep points you get .. the more positive you get the more your GIVING STATUS goes up. Your rep level goes up meaning you can give more points.
    I just looked at your account, your REPUTATION LEVEL is a 26 meaning you can only give one point.

    HALFBAKED rep level is at 1090 he can rep 8 points everytime.

    REP LEVEL = how many rep pints you can give.

    So no, you cant add as many as you want. Pablo is incorrect.
