kart anyone?

got an R6 motor sitting in my garage with all the bells n whistles to make it run, i can actually start it up and run it when i hook a battery up to it, i was hoping one of my fellow goons would want to get in on this project, i was going to build a one off frame and everything but when it comes down to it i don't have the time for that and it wil probably be wrecked by either daniel or kevin, no ofense fellas i just see it happening that way. lol so im not going to spend hours on a custom frame for someone to crinkle up in a ditch. i'll do the fab work, get the motor on, tune it (with help from ed at blanced perf) i would like this to be a goon project not something i threw together in the shop, maybe a weekend thing we could work on every now and then. like i said i have acquired the motor,trans,ecm and all the goodies to make it run, i also have a 5 point RCI harness, and we can use one of my old suede racing seats, here is what i need to complete this madness that is sure to both entertain and strike fear in anyone brave enough to strap in.

kart frame, on or off road just something to build off of ( i know someone out there has a kart thats sitting around or at the parents house)

i have an alloy keystock shaft we can use for a live rear axle

anything anyone can contribute will be greatly appreciated! lets get this crazy goon goblin kart rollin peeps!

hey man, im just saying, and mr simontibelt, have you ever ridden anything close this magnatude? there is a shifter kart in my shop race ready with a cr125 motor on it with some work done to it, scary fucking fast and does close to 140mph and does not take much to get my 340lb self there, i would NEVER ride this thing without a harness on, you could not take a turn or stay in the seat in hard braking without it, it is going to have one hell of a roll cage i will say that. hell i took off on my buddies kart and he has a stroked cr250, at 115 i could spin the tires enough for them to smoke and the kart to slide out a little bit, that was with 12"wide race tires, i donr think anyone knows what there in for when this thing is done, youtube a few 600cc kart videos and you'll see!

- i have an old riding lawn mower, dont think it has been done...that or there were no survivors...
- an old quad would be sick, slamm it on on some drag tires and hold the fuck on!
- im not against a turbo set-up...

Yes, I have, I have driven rotax, 125, 250's, sprints, and Briggs. You didn't say it'd have a cage, it better have a GOOD cage lol, like a full TUBE FRAME...why not just make a little formula car with no body? Thing is with karts with superbike engines they just spin and make lots of noise, it's hard to make one actually grip and be FAST on a course at least. No kart series allows seatbelts or cages except for a couple dirt track and oval classes btw.

put it on a damn go cart frame, stretch it 18 inches, widen it about a foot, indy car style roll cage, and have that bitch sitting as close as possible to the ground. i'll run that bitch wide open up spout springs. lol. oh and i don't think it will need boost.

I know what it's for, just saying it's quite boring when it's just spinning and stuff lol. Just a rollcage is STUPID. Def. rather wear a bike suit and fly out. And you of course don't want springs, no karts use springs.

but boost is fun man, if i make it that low you can't go down spout springs, you would not be able to handle the bumps in the road without spinning out.

I personally have already rode a gsxr600 quad... not that fun.. kart sounds beater... + I might be able to get my old methanol frame and body back I used to have. It was for the same purpose but never went down.. I'll find out

just so i know are we wanting paddle sytle shifting (if so i can pull one off the shiter karts sittin at the shop)

if not we can weld a bar to the actual shift lever by the driver and you either bump it up or down to shift, but it requires taking ur hand off the whel, kevin said he will ge the kart to me and i can make a lit from there. lookin forward to this goons! once i get teh kart i'll go buy or bring home one of my welders and set a date for everyone to come over, drink some beer, and get this thing started! a mini meet if u will...

not as much as you would think...i have a spare t-case off one of my lifted jeeps i'd throw on it...have to run a gear box and driveshafts instead of a chain drive. we will go over everything when we converse at my house, post up any ideas goons!

we def need a full face helmet, all i have is the open face dirt bike style with goggles...not gonna work at 100+mph
