On the wagons it completely transforms the look of the car. I think it makes them look a lot more European.

Find a Saab 9-2X who wants to trade roof rails.

Its a fairly easy procedure, if you search my SN on Wrxatlanta I wrote a pretty good writeup albeit with no pictures. Summary is remove the grab handles, overhead lights, sunvisors. Next remove all of the upper plastic trim (A, B, C pillars, trim around the hatch, etc) then the headliner comes down pretty easy. You then have to remove the metal plates that the grab handles attach to so you can unbolt the roof rails. Take the rails off, pop the trim off, plug the holes and attach the smooth trim pieces.

Took me about 2.5 hours by myself with lots of breaks; I think with Marks car it took 3 of us roughly an hour. You buy the trim pieces at a Subaru dealer but I dont know the part number off the top of my head, a quick NASIOC search should yield that. PM me and I'll give you a hand, it makes a drastic improvement in the look of the wagons.

Here's a pretty bad pic of my car but is about the closest thing to a side profile shot I've got.
