Its not like we all havent seen some skylines rolling around. There are like 5 I know off in atl.
if they are in the milatary there are ppl they can talk to at the base they are at. if i go to Ok i will be doing that myself.
im sure its still rather expensive to do though.

speaking of...if you try talking to tripper cook (Cool Cat GTR) i think he can help out w/ importing your car....not 100% sure tho, but it never hurt to ask

There is a lot that has to be done before the car even leaves the country of origin or else it can never be legalized here. If your serious about bringing it and have the cash to do so PM either myself or Tripper and we can get the ball rolling for you. I will say that if its an R32 your looking at $18-$20k if you supply the car and significantly more for an R33 or R34.Originally Posted by twkg

military can only approve a temporary importation... meaning the car can be here for xxxx amount of time then it has to be destroyed or sent back out of the country. if you wish to keep it here you must update all safety/emissions equipment to US standards which is not a very simple task.
if it were that easy there would be tons of them around.
i thought if sent through the military the car had to be disassembled.

has one.
Just buy heavy throttles gtr for 40k. lol
Theres one for sale on g20.net in canada. Which I know you can get stuff from there easier. I have a few friends that brought down some st185 gt fours and 850 R's.
But its a 89 gts with an rb20. And god why buy a skyline with an rb20. Buy an s13 with one.
i'm not for certain but...
I think military can bring a car back to the US with them if its older than 20yrs or it passes emissions. For example, i had a buddy who lived in Germany and bought a M3 and brought it back with him. Then i know a guy who brought back a late 80's RHD mini with no problems at all.
Swifty
Seeing how none of the good GTR's meet either of those you'll have to go through the crap of getting one over here.

yea haha give me about 2 years an ill be in a r32 ahahah or eigther ill be in military buyin one
R32's are the most fun and the cheapest. Their shortcomings are easily overcame and then you've got the lightest and simplest chassis to have fun with.

definately talk to the guys w/ CCR they can get you what you want![]()
