I've never owned a Altima, but I had a Maxima SE (5 speed) that was a blast.
KAs are decent, the only modded Altima I rode in was an auto and I'd imagine it would have been a lot peppier and more fun if it was a shift it yourself.

Sorry your car got totaled, but as they say "all things happen for a reason"... though I'm still not sure who "they" are or why they say it.
